+## Prerequisites

+- Node.js v20.17.0 or higher (LTS recommended)
+
+## Install the CLI (one-time, global)
+
+```bash
+npm i -g mint
+```
+
+## Run the docs locally
+
+From this `docs/` directory:
+
+```bash
+mint dev
+```
+
+Then open http://localhost:3000 (or the port Mint reports if 3000 is in use).
+
+> The first run downloads the Mint preview framework (~90 MB) into `~/.mintlify/`.
+> Subsequent runs start instantly from the local cache.
+
